Full Day Champagne Private Tour From Paris

An entire day to discover the Champagne region, meet the winemakers (growers and Champagne Houses) – and learn first-hand what makes Champagne wines so special.

You will start your journey with your professional driver, picking you up at your hotel or apartment. You will head to the Champagne region, which is about a 1.5-hour drive from Paris.

You will reach Epernay, capital city of the Champagne region, after the arrival of Nicolas Ruinart in Epernay in 1729 (who developed sparkling wine) and Moët & Chandon in 1743. You will embark on a private visit of the vineyards and cellars of Moët & Chandon (17 miles long), the world's largest champagne house and sample some of their finest vintage champagnes during the Grand Vintage White & Rosé Tasting.

After this good introduction to the art of champagne making, you will continue your extraordinary journey towards the Côte des Blancs where you will enjoy a gastronomic Champagne lunch (lunch is not included) in a magnificent neo-classical mansion (the lunch restaurant might be modified for a similar restaurant depending on your taste and wishes).

In the afternoon, you will finally discover a lesser well known family-owned Maison de Champagne like Huré Frères or Ployez-Jacquemart in Ludes (Montagne de Reims) and sample 2 or 3 different Champagnes. You will then continue to Reims where your licensed guide will help you visit the city and the world famous Cathedral.

Around 5:30pm your professional driver will head back to Paris.
